Campsy is an online marketplace that helps parents find, compare, and book children's camps and summer programs through one platform, with verified listings, secure payments, and user reviews. Their goal is to make discovering and registering for camps easier and more trustworthy for families while helping camp organizers reach more customers.
1. Can you introduce yourself, and tell us about your team or company?
We're the two-person founding team behind Campsy (campsy.pl), a Polish marketplace for discovering and booking camps. Sports, arts, language, adventure - multi-day immersive experiences run by independent organizers for children, teenagers, and adults. It's a huge market in Poland, yet most of it still runs in a surprisingly analog way. Organizers rely on Facebook groups, PDF brochures, and phone calls. We're building the infrastructure to change that default, starting in Poland with a deliberately ambitious three-year plan to become the market leader before expanding the model further.
What makes our team unusual is the combination of backgrounds we bring together. Between us, we have deep technical and marketing expertise, years of hands-on experience organizing summer camps, and the perspective of a parent with camp-age children. We know this market from every angle, and that lets two people build and operate something that would normally require a much larger team. We've been fully bootstrapped from day one because we believed strongly enough in the opportunity not to wait for external validation. Our first season confirmed that belief.
2. How do you plan to use Rollbar?
We came to Rollbar from previous projects, so using it was a day-one decision.
From the outside, Campsy looks like a single product. Under the hood, it's actually eight applications: three customer-facing apps and, so far, five supporting services. Rollbar monitors all three user-facing applications.
Our operating model is built around automation rather than headcount. Instead of growing a larger operations team, we've built a system of highly automated pipelines supported by AI that handles much of what a larger team would traditionally manage manually. Rollbar notifications already flow into our email pipeline, where they're automatically triaged and routed. As we continue to grow, the next step is integrating directly with the Rollbar API, just as we already do with much of the rest of our tooling. Raw data flows into shared pipelines and is processed automatically.
One recent example of Rollbar performance: shortly after a production deployment, Rollbar triggered several alerts within minutes. No users had reported a problem yet, but we identified the issue and deployed a fix in less than an hour.
In a seasonal business like ours, where almost the entire booking season is compressed into a few months, every production issue carries outsized consequences. We've deliberately set ourselves an aggressive timeline to build this marketplace in a fraction of the time similar platforms usually require, so reliability isn't just an engineering concern -it's part of the strategy. A silent failure isn't just another bug. It's an argument against the whole model and going back to Facebook posts and phone calls. Rollbar helps us make sure that argument never gets made.
3. What made you choose Rollbar?
We already knew Rollbar from previous projects, including large-scale systems used by Fortune 100 companies, where we'd seen firsthand how reliably it performed and how cleanly it handled a wide range of edge cases and automation-heavy workflows. Still, as a bootstrapped company, every tool has to justify its place in the stack, so we compared alternatives before making the decision. Rollbar came out ahead on the metric that matters most for the way we work: an excellent signal-to-noise ratio at a price point that fits a company at our stage. When two people are responsible for eight applications, the last thing you need is a monitoring tool that generates unnecessary noise. In that situation, too many false alarms can be worse than no monitoring at all—and Rollbar has consistently avoided that problem.
